Ingredients
Scale
Marinade and Chicken
- 2 tbsp olive oil (extra virgin recommended)
- 1 tsp paprika (regular or smoked)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce (or to taste)
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs (cut into chunks)
Garlic Parmesan Sauce
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Chicken: In a bowl, combine olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Tabasco Green Pepper Sauce. Toss the chicken thigh chunks in the marinade until fully coated. Let the chicken marinate for at least 10-15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- Skewer the Chicken: Thread the marinated chicken pieces evenly onto skewers, ensuring they are securely placed for even cooking in the air fryer.
- Cook the Chicken: Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C). Place the skewers carefully inside the air fryer basket, ensuring they don’t overlap. Cook for 12-15 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C), turning halfway through for even cooking.
- Prepare the Garlic Parmesan Sauce: While the chicken is cooking, melt unsalted butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red chili flakes if using, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Stir in freshly grated parmesan cheese and lemon juice, mixing until the sauce is smooth and well combined.
- Coat the Chicken: When the chicken skewers are cooked through, remove them from the air fryer. Drizzle the warm garlic parmesan sauce over the chicken skewers, then garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
- For juicier chicken, marinate longer up to 2 hours if time permits.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes prior to prevent burning.
- Adjust the level of Tabasco sauce and red chili flakes based on desired spiciness.
- Serve with a side salad or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
- Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C) for safe consumption.
