Description

This Air Fryer Ranch Chicken recipe offers a crispy, flavorful, and healthy way to enjoy ranch-seasoned chicken breasts. Coated in a crunchy mixture of crushed corn flakes, Parmesan cheese, and ranch seasoning, then air fried to juicy perfection, this dish is quick to prepare and perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken and Coating

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 5 ounces each)
  • 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Ranch dressing seasoning mix
  • 3/4 cup crushed corn flakes
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) and grease the tray with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Prepare coating mixture: In a medium bowl, combine the ranch seasoning mix, crushed corn flakes, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir thoroughly to blend the ingredients well.
  3. Coat the chicken: Dip each chicken breast into the melted butter, ensuring it’s evenly coated. Then transfer the chicken to the bowl with the corn flake mixture and toss to completely cover the chicken breasts with the coating.
  4. Add extra seasoning: After coating all the chicken breasts, sprinkle any remaining corn flake mixture over the top of each piece to enhance the crust’s flavor and texture.
  5. Air fry the chicken: Place the coated chicken breasts carefully in the air fryer basket or tray. Cook for 10 minutes, then flip the chicken breasts to the other side and continue cooking for an additional 8 minutes. Check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) to ensure they are fully cooked and safe to eat.
  6. Rest and serve: Remove the chicken carefully from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a moist and tender chicken. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use low-sodium or unsalted butter to control salt intake.
  • For extra crispiness, lightly spray the coated chicken with cooking spray before air frying.
  • Make sure the chicken breasts are similar in size for even cooking.
  • Serve with a fresh salad or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to ensure safety and avoid overcooking.
