Australian Busters are crunchy, Aussie-style cookies that are perfect for a sweet treat. These coconut and oat cookies are easy to make and have a delightful golden syrup flavor.

			Dry Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
 - 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
 - 1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
 - 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 
Wet Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
 - 2 tablespoons golden syrup (or light corn syrup)
 - 2 tablespoons boiling water
 - 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
 
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
 - Combine dry ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the flour, coconut, oats, brown sugar, and salt.
 - Prepare wet mixture: In a small saucepan, melt the butter and golden syrup over low heat. Dissolve baking soda in boiling water, then add to the butter mixture.
 - Mix the dough: Combine wet and dry ingredients, then scoop tablespoon-sized portions onto the baking sheet.
 - Bake: Flatten the cookies and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
 - Cool: Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
 
Notes
- These cookies are similar to ANZAC biscuits.
 - For variation, add chocolate chips or dried fruit.
 - Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
