Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Big Mac Salad that brings all the classic flavors of a Big Mac burger into a fresh, low-carb salad. Featuring seasoned ground beef, Big Mac sauce, crisp romaine lettuce, cheddar cheese, pickles, and onions, this recipe is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner without the bun.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef Mixture

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Salad

  • 3 romaine hearts, chopped
  • 1 cup (4 oz) cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup dill pickle chips, chopped
  • 1/4 sweet onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup Big Mac sauce
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the ground beef and season with salt and pepper. Crumble the beef as it cooks and cook until no pink remains, about 8 minutes. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Prepare the Salad Base: While the beef cooks, divide the chopped romaine lettuce evenly between the serving bowls. Top each with approximately 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 1/4 cup chopped dill pickle chips, and a sprinkle of diced sweet onion.
  3. Assemble the Salad: Once the beef is cooked and drained, evenly distribute it over the prepared salads. Drizzle 1/2 cup Big Mac sauce evenly over the salads. Garnish each bowl with a sprinkle of sesame seeds. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

  • The Big Mac sauce can be store-bought or homemade for extra flavor depth.
  • To reduce calories, use lean ground beef or substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • For a spicier version, add a dash of hot sauce or crushed red pepper flakes.
  • This salad can be served warm or at room temperature.
  • Use fresh dill pickle chips for the best crunch and flavor.
