Description

This Big Mac Wraps recipe transforms the classic Big Mac flavors into a quick and easy handheld wrap. Ground beef seasoned with garlic and onion powders is cooked and layered in large flour tortillas with shredded lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, and a homemade Big Mac sauce. Lightly toasted for a crispy finish, these wraps make a delicious meal perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Beef:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

For the Wraps:

  • 4 large flour tortillas (burrito size)
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
  • ½ cup diced pickles
  • ½ small onion, finely diced (optional)

For the Big Mac Sauce:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 2 tsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. Make the Big Mac sauce: In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, sweet pickle relish, white vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly and adjust seasoning to taste. Refrigerate the sauce to allow flavors to meld while preparing the rest of the recipe.
  2. Cook the beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef along with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring and breaking up the meat, until fully browned and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes. Drain any excess grease from the pan.
  3. Assemble the wraps: Warm the flour tortillas briefly in a microwave or skillet to make them pliable. Spread a spoonful of the prepared Big Mac sauce in the center of each tortilla. Layer on the cooked ground beef, shredded cheese, iceberg lettuce, diced pickles, and finely diced onion if using.
  4. Wrap & toast (optional): Fold the sides of each tortilla inward and roll tightly into a burrito-style wrap. For added flavor and texture, toast the wraps seam-side down in a dry skillet over medium heat for 1-2 minutes per side until the exterior is golden and slightly crisp.
  5. Serve: Slice each wrap in half and serve warm. Optional accompaniments include extra Big Mac sauce or a side of fries for a complete meal experience.

Notes

  • To keep wraps warm during assembly, cover them with a clean kitchen towel.
  • Feel free to substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner protein option.
  • You can prepare the Big Mac sauce in advance and store it refrigerated for up to a week.
  • Adding diced onions is optional but adds an extra crunch and flavor layer.
  • For a gluten-free version, use gluten-free tortillas instead of regular flour ones.
