Description

A delicious and hearty burger featuring a juicy ground chuck patty topped with melted cheddar cheese, ripe avocado slices, and a perfectly fried egg, all sandwiched between toasted sesame seed buns with a flavorful special sauce made from mayo, relish, and spices.

Ingredients

Scale

Burger Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 4 large eggs
  • 4 sesame seed buns
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Special Sauce Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons relish
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Special Sauce: In a bowl, combine mayonnaise, relish, white vinegar, mustard, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Mix until well blended and refrigerate to let the flavors meld.
  2. Toast the Buns: Spread butter on the cut sides of the sesame seed buns. Heat a skillet over medium heat and toast the buns until the edges are golden brown and slightly crisp. Remove and set aside.
  3. Cook the Beef Patties: Shape the ground chuck into four even patties. Season each patty with salt and pepper. In a skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and cook patties for about 4 minutes per side or until desired doneness. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.
  4. Fry the Eggs: In a separate skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Crack in the eggs and cook until the whites are fully set but the yolks remain runny, or cook to your preferred doneness.
  5. Assemble the Burgers: Spread the special sauce onto the bottom half of each toasted bun. Add avocado slices, followed by the cheesy beef patty, then top with the fried egg. Finish by placing the top half of the bun over the egg.
  6. Serve Immediately: Serve the burgers right away to enjoy the perfect combination of warm patties, creamy avocado, runny egg, and rich sauce.

Notes

  • The special sauce can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 3 days.
  • For a firmer egg yolk, cook eggs longer or flip to over-easy or over-medium.
  • Use fresh ripe avocado to ensure creamy texture.
  • Adjust seasoning on patties and sauce according to taste.
  • Serve with fries or a side salad for a complete meal.
