Description

This Cajun Chicken Alfredo is a flavorful and creamy pasta dish featuring tender, Cajun-spiced chicken breasts served over rich Alfredo sauce and fettuccine. The recipe balances the spicy kick of Cajun seasoning with a smooth Parmesan cream sauce, making it a perfect main course for a comforting yet zesty meal.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Pasta

  • 8 ounces fettuccine pasta, cooked and drained

Seasoning and Garnish

  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season and Cook Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry and generously coat both sides with Cajun seasoning. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook 5–6 minutes on each side until fully cooked and golden brown. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
  2. Prepare Alfredo Sauce: Reduce heat to medium in the same skillet. Add butter and allow it to melt. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Simmer Cream and Cheese: Pour in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Gradually add Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened, about 3–5 minutes.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Add cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat the pasta evenly in the creamy sauce.
  5. Serve: Slice the rested chicken and arrange it on top of the coated pasta. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • You can use store-bought Cajun seasoning or make your own blend with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • For extra flavor and texture, add sautéed bell peppers or mushrooms to the sauce.
