For the Dressing:
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ cup sour cream
- ¼ cup buttermilk (plus more to thin if needed)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1½ teaspoons Cajun seasoning
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, buttermilk, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Add the Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Stir until well combined.
- Fold in the parsley and chives, then season with salt and pepper to taste.
- If the dressing is too thick, whisk in a little more buttermilk until desired consistency is reached.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to let the flavors meld.
Notes
- Adjust the spice level by increasing or reducing the Cajun seasoning or cayenne.
- This dressing also works great as a dip for veggies, wings, or fries.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
