  • ½ teaspoon salt

Cheese Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta: Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Cook Chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until golden and cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside.
  3. Prepare Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté. Stir in flour to form a roux. Slowly whisk in milk and chicken broth, stirring constantly until smooth. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Add Cheese: Stir in cheddar and Parmesan cheeses until melted and creamy. Add cooked pasta and chicken to the sauce, stirring to coat evenly. Heat through.
  5. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
