Ingredients
Scale
Spinach Mixture
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Topping
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat & Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and make cleanup easy.
- Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the chopped spinach, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended.
- Form Crisps: Drop spoonfuls of the cheese and spinach mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing each about 2 inches apart. Use the back of a spoon to flatten each mound slightly for even cooking.
- Top with Cheddar: Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top of each portion to add extra flavor and create a golden topping when baked.
- Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges turn golden brown and the cheese topping is bubbly and melted.
- Cool & Serve: Remove from the oven and let the spinach dip cheese crisps cool for a few minutes so they firm up slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- To ensure the crisps hold together well, make sure the cream cheese is softened before mixing.
- For a spicier version, increase the amount of red pepper flakes or add a dash of hot sauce to the mixture.
- These crisps can be served as a standalone snack or paired with your favorite dipping sauce.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat briefly in the oven or microwave before serving.
