 - 3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
 - 1 large egg
 - 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
 - 1 tablespoon milk
 - Additional brown sugar for rolling (optional)
 
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
 - Prepare Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
 - Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, beat the brown sugar and softened butter until creamy. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and milk, and mix well.
 - Combine and Scoop: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough.
 - Bake: Place dough balls on baking sheets, bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are set. Cool on a wire rack.
