Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or use a round baking stone for even browning.
- Prepare the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine the chopped chicken, 6 slices of cooked and crumbled bacon, softened cream cheese, half of the shredded cheese (1 cup), ranch dressing, garlic powder, freshly cracked black pepper, and 1 tablespoon chopped green onions. Mix until the filling is evenly combined and creamy.
- Shape Crescent Ring: On the prepared baking sheet, arrange the crescent rolls in a ring shape with the wide ends overlapping slightly to form a circle, and the pointed ends facing outward. Press the inner edges together to seal the ring.
- Add Filling: Spoon the prepared chicken mixture evenly around the center of the crescent roll ring.
- Fold and Enclose: Fold the pointed ends of the crescent rolls over the filling and tuck them underneath the wide edges to fully enclose the filling.
- Add Toppings: Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheese and the remaining 2 slices of crumbled bacon over the top of the ring.
- Bake: Bake the crescent ring in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and crisp.
- Garnish and Rest: Remove from the oven, sprinkle with additional chopped green onions, and let the ring rest for 5 minutes before cutting.
- Serve: Cut into wedges and serve warm with extra ranch dressing, sour cream, or hot sauce if desired.
Notes
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
- Use fresh cracked black pepper for the best flavor.
- For an extra crispy crust, using a baking stone is recommended.
- The ring can be customized with different cheeses or herbs to suit your taste.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator and reheat before serving.
