Ingredients
Scale
Dough & Base
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Topping
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
Glaze
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Dough: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press the seams together carefully to form one continuous rectangular sheet. Transfer this dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Apply Butter and Sugar Cinnamon Topping: Brush the melted butter evenly over the surface of the dough to ensure the cinnamon sugar will stick and create a rich base. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
- Bake the Pizza: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the dough turns golden brown and slightly crisp at the edges, ensuring a perfectly flaky crust.
- Prepare the Glaze: While the pizza is baking, whisk together powdered sugar, 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth and pourable to create a sweet vanilla glaze.
- Glaze and Serve: Once baked, remove the cinnamon-sugar pizza from the oven and immediately drizzle the glaze evenly over the warm pizza. Allow it to cool slightly so the glaze sets before slicing into 8 pieces and serving.
Notes
- For a thicker crust, layer two sheets of crescent dough together before baking.
- Consider adding chopped nuts or mini chocolate chips on top before baking for extra texture and flavor.
