Description

This Cinnamon-Sugar Pizza made with crescent rolls is a quick and delightful dessert that combines the flakiness of crescent dough with a sweet cinnamon-sugar topping, finished with a smooth vanilla glaze. Perfect for a simple yet indulgent treat, it’s easy to prepare and sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough & Base

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Topping

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Glaze

  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dough: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press the seams together carefully to form one continuous rectangular sheet. Transfer this dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Apply Butter and Sugar Cinnamon Topping: Brush the melted butter evenly over the surface of the dough to ensure the cinnamon sugar will stick and create a rich base. In a small bowl, combine granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, then sprinkle this mixture evenly over the buttered dough.
  3. Bake the Pizza: Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the dough turns golden brown and slightly crisp at the edges, ensuring a perfectly flaky crust.
  4. Prepare the Glaze: While the pizza is baking, whisk together powdered sugar, 1 to 2 tablespoons of milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl until smooth and pourable to create a sweet vanilla glaze.
  5. Glaze and Serve: Once baked, remove the cinnamon-sugar pizza from the oven and immediately drizzle the glaze evenly over the warm pizza. Allow it to cool slightly so the glaze sets before slicing into 8 pieces and serving.

Notes

  • For a thicker crust, layer two sheets of crescent dough together before baking.
  • Consider adding chopped nuts or mini chocolate chips on top before baking for extra texture and flavor.
