This Creamy Pepperoncini Chicken Skillet is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines tender chicken with a tangy and creamy sauce, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

			Chicken:
- 1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into cutlets or pounded thin)
 
Sauce:
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
 - 2 tablespoons butter
 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1/2 cup chopped pepperoncini peppers
 - 2 tablespoons pepperoncini juice
 - 1 cup chicken broth
 - 3/4 cup heavy cream
 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
 - 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
 - 1/2 teaspoon salt
 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
 - Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish
 
Instructions
- Season the chicken: Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
 - Cook the chicken: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
 - Make the sauce: Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, sauté for 1 minute. Stir in chopped pepperoncini, cook for another minute. Add chicken broth, deglaze the pan. Stir in pepperoncini juice, heavy cream, Parmesan, oregano, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–5 minutes.
 - Combine and simmer: Return chicken to the skillet, coat with the sauce. Simmer for an additional 2–3 minutes. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve.
 
Notes
- This dish pairs well with mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta.
 - For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream.
 - You can use chicken thighs instead of breasts if preferred.
