  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric

  • 1/2 cup cornstarch (for coating)

Butter Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 small onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups tomato purée
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • salt to taste


Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a large bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, ginger, garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Add chicken, coat well, and marinate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Fry the Chicken: Coat marinated chicken pieces with cornstarch. Fry in batches until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  3. Prepare the Butter Sauce: Sauté onion, garlic, and ginger in butter. Add spices, tomato purée, cream, sugar, and salt. Simmer until thickened.
  4. Combine Chicken and Sauce: Toss crispy chicken in the sauce until coated. Serve hot with rice or naan.
