Ingredients
Scale
Pork Chops
- 4 bone-in pork chops (about 1/2-inch thick)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Gravy
- 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup, undiluted (10-3/4 ounces)
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to get it ready for baking the pork chops.
- Brown the pork chops: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the pork chops and brown them on both sides until they develop a nice golden crust, which locks in flavor.
- Prepare the baking dish: Lightly grease a 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish to prevent sticking and transfer the browned pork chops into it evenly.
- Mix the gravy: In a medium bowl, combine the condensed cream of chicken soup, water, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and ground black pepper. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and well blended.
- Pour over pork chops and bake: Pour the prepared gravy evenly over the pork chops in the baking dish. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil to keep moisture in, then bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the meat juices run clear and the pork chops are cooked through.
Notes
- You can adjust the thickness of the gravy by adding more or less water.
- For extra flavor, consider adding garlic powder or onion powder to the gravy mixture.
- Let the pork chops rest a few minutes after baking before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
- Using bone-in pork chops helps keep the meat tender and flavorful.
