For the Garlic Butter Steak Bites:

  • 1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish

For the Mashed Potatoes:

  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Mashed Potatoes: Boil cubed potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain, add butter and warm milk, mash until smooth, season with salt and pepper, and keep warm.
  2. Cook the Steak Bites: Season steak with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil until browned. Set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter: Melt butter in the skillet, add garlic, cook until fragrant. Return steak to the skillet, toss in the garlic butter, and sprinkle with parsley.
  4. Serve: Plate the steak bites over mashed potatoes, garnish with parsley.

Notes

  • You can substitute sirloin with ribeye or strip steak for a richer flavor.
  • For extra creaminess, add a splash of cream to the mashed potatoes.
