- 1 1/2 pounds sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, plus more for garnish
For the Mashed Potatoes:
- 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup whole milk, warmed
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Mashed Potatoes: Boil cubed potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain, add butter and warm milk, mash until smooth, season with salt and pepper, and keep warm.
- Cook the Steak Bites: Season steak with salt and pepper. Sear in olive oil until browned. Set aside.
- Make the Garlic Butter: Melt butter in the skillet, add garlic, cook until fragrant. Return steak to the skillet, toss in the garlic butter, and sprinkle with parsley.
- Serve: Plate the steak bites over mashed potatoes, garnish with parsley.
Notes
- You can substitute sirloin with ribeye or strip steak for a richer flavor.
