Description

These Garlic Butter Steak Bites are tender, juicy chunks of sirloin steak seared to perfection and tossed in a rich garlic butter sauce. Quick and easy to prepare, this recipe is perfect for a satisfying weeknight dinner or a flavorful appetizer. The combination of seared steak and aromatic garlic butter creates a mouthwatering dish with a fresh parsley finish.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak

  • 1.5 pounds sirloin steak (or ribeye, strip steak, or another tender well-marbled cut)
  • Salt & pepper (to taste)

Cooking

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter (1/2 stick), divided
  • 4-5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak: Take the steak out of the fridge and let it warm up for 30 minutes prior to starting the recipe if possible. This ensures even cooking.
  2. Cut and Season: Cut the steak into 1-inch cubes and season generously with salt and pepper to enhance the natural flavor of the meat.
  3. Sear the Steak Bites: Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet over medium-high heat for a few minutes. Add the steak cubes in a single layer without crowding, cooking for about 2 minutes per side until medium doneness is achieved. Cook in batches if necessary. Avoid moving the steak while cooking to get a good sear. Remove each batch and keep warm.
  4. Make Garlic Butter Sauce: Lower heat to medium-low. Add the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Stir almost constantly and cook for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant and cooked through but not browned or burnt.
  5. Toss and Serve: Remove skillet from heat. Return the steak bites along with any juices from the plate back to the pan and toss gently with the garlic butter sauce. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately for best flavor.

Notes

  • Use a cast-iron or heavy skillet for the best sear.
  • Letting the steak come to room temperature helps it cook evenly.
  • Do not overcrowd the pan to ensure the steak sears properly instead of stewing.
  • Adjust garlic quantity based on your preference.
  • Serve with crusty bread or over pasta to enjoy the garlic butter sauce fully.
