			Pasta
- 8 oz pasta (such as fettuccine or linguine)

Sauce
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
 - 1 tablespoon butter
 - 8 oz cremini or white mushrooms, sliced
 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
 - 1/2 cup heavy cream
 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
 - Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain well and set aside to prepare the sauce.
 - Heat Oils: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium-high heat until the butter is melted and fragrant.
 - Sauté Mushrooms: Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until they turn golden brown and have released their moisture, about 5-7 minutes.
 - Add Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not burnt.
 - Simmer Cream: Reduce the heat to medium and pour in the heavy cream. Allow it to simmer gently for 2-3 minutes until it thickens slightly.
 - Incorporate Cheese and Seasoning: Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and incorporated. Season the sauce with salt and pepper according to your taste.
 - Toss Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss thoroughly to coat the noodles evenly with the creamy mushroom sauce.
 - Serve: Serve the garlic mushroom pasta hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley for a touch of freshness and color.

Notes
- For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half or milk, though the sauce will be less rich.
 - You can use any long pasta like linguine, spaghetti, or fettuccine based on preference.
 - Fresh Parmesan cheese grated right before adding will melt better and enhance flavor.
 - Make sure not to overcook the garlic to avoid bitterness.
 - To make it vegetarian, ensure Parmesan used is free from animal rennet.
