Description

Crispy, flavorful Garlic Parmesan Wings featuring a savory blend of spices and a rich garlic butter sauce topped with fresh Parmesan. Perfectly baked or air fried, these wings deliver a deliciously cheesy, garlicky bite with a hint of heat and fresh herbs for an irresistible appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken Wings

  • 5 lbs chicken wings, patted dry
  • 2 Tbsp chicken bouillon powder
  • 2 Tbsp Montreal chicken seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp dried parsley
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 Tbsp oil (olive or avocado)

Garlic Parmesan Sauce

  • 8 Tbsp butter
  • 10–12 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1–2 tsp lemon zest (optional, for brightness)
  • Crushed croutons (optional, for extra crunch before serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and prepare wings: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) or your air fryer to 400°F (204°C). This ensures the wings cook evenly and get that perfect crispy skin.
  2. Season the wings: In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with oil, chicken bouillon powder, Montreal chicken seasoning, dried parsley, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, and salt. Ensure they are well coated with the spices for maximum flavor.
  3. Cook the wings: Arrange the wings in a single layer on a baking rack set over a sheet pan, or place them in the air fryer basket. Bake or air fry for 35 to 40 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through cooking to ensure even crispness on all sides.
  4. Make garlic Parmesan sauce: While the wings are cooking, melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped garlic and red chili flakes, sautéing for 1 to 2 minutes until the garlic is fragrant but not browned. Stir in the fresh parsley and lemon zest if using, then remove from heat.
  5. Toss wings in sauce and serve: Once the wings are cooked and crispy, immediately toss them in the warm garlic butter sauce until fully coated. Sprinkle generously with grated Parmesan cheese. For extra texture, toss in crushed croutons right before serving. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can swap Parmesan for Asiago cheese for a sharper flavor.
  • Add lemon zest to the butter sauce to brighten the flavor.
  • Crushed croutons tossed with the wings add a delightful crunch.
  • Ensure wings are patted dry before seasoning to get maximum crispiness.
  • Flipping the wings halfway through cooking helps them crisp evenly.
