Description

This Delicious Greek Chili Chicken Alfredo features tender, spicy chicken simmered in a smoky feta cream sauce, paired perfectly with crispy Parmesan roasted asparagus. A flavorful fusion of Greek spices and creamy textures makes this 40-minute meal an irresistible dinner option.

Ingredients

Scale

Chicken

  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast or thighs, cubed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for chicken)
  • 1 teaspoon Greek chili flakes (boukovo)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

Sauce

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup smoked feta cheese, crumbled

Asparagus

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for asparagus)
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Garnish

  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • Additional Greek chili flakes (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare and Season Chicken: Cut the chicken into bite-sized cubes. Season thoroughly with salt, black pepper, and Greek chili flakes to infuse flavor.
  2. Cook Chicken: Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken cubes and sear until golden brown and fully cooked, approximately 6 to 8 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Roast Asparagus: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss trimmed asparagus with 1 tablespoon olive oil, salt, pepper, and grated Parmesan cheese. Arrange on a baking sheet and roast for 12 to 15 minutes, until crispy and golden.
  4. Make Smoked Feta Cream Sauce: In the same skillet used for the chicken, add more olive oil if needed and sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and add crumbled smoked feta cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese melts and the sauce is smooth. Add extra chili flakes to taste for more heat.
  5. Combine Chicken and Sauce: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and let it simmer in the smoked feta cream sauce for a few minutes to absorb the flavors. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Plate and Garnish: Serve the chili chicken Alfredo sauce alongside the roasted crispy Parmesan asparagus. Sprinkle fresh chopped parsley and a pinch of chili flakes over the dish for a vibrant finish.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs for a juicier result, or chicken breasts for a leaner option.
  • Adjust the amount of Greek chili flakes to control the spiciness according to your preference.
  • Smoked feta cheese adds a unique depth; substitute regular feta and add a smoky paprika for a similar flavor if unavailable.
  • Ensure asparagus is trimmed properly to avoid woody ends.
  • This dish pairs well with crusty bread or a light Greek salad for a complete meal.
