			Main Ingredients:
- 12 oz wide egg noodles
 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
 - 1 pound Italian sausage (mild or spicy, casings removed)
 
Additional Ingredients:
- 1 small onion (sliced)
 - 1 red bell pepper (sliced)
 - 1 yellow bell pepper (sliced)
 - 3 cloves garlic (minced)
 - ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
 - ½ cup dry white wine
 - 1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes (with juice)
 - 2 tablespoons tomato paste
 - Salt and pepper to taste
 - ¼ cup chopped fresh basil
 - Grated Parmesan cheese (for serving)
 
Instructions
- Cook the Noodles: Cook egg noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
 - Sear the Sausage: In a large skillet, heat olive oil and cook Italian sausage until browned. Remove sausage and set aside.
 - Sauté Veggies: In the same skillet, sauté onion, bell peppers, garlic, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning.
 - Deglaze and Simmer: Pour in white wine, scrape up any bits, then add diced tomatoes and tomato paste. Season and simmer.
 - Combine and Garnish: Return sausage to the pan, add noodles, toss to combine. Garnish with basil and Parmesan.

- Use chicken or turkey sausage as a leaner alternative.
 - Substitute the wine with chicken broth if preferred.
