Oat Mixture:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups packed brown sugar

Chocolate Fudge Layer:
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- Cream butter and sugar: In a large bowl, cream together 1 cup of butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla: Beat in the eggs and 2 teaspoons vanilla extract.
- Mix dry ingredients: Stir in the oats, flour, baking soda, and salt until fully combined.
- Prepare base: Press about two-thirds of the oat mixture into the prepared baking pan.
- Make fudge layer: In a saucepan over low heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons butter, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
- Layer and bake: Pour the chocolate fudge layer over the oat base, crumble the remaining oat mixture on top, and bake for 25–30 minutes until golden.
- Cool and serve: Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, try using dark chocolate chips.
- You can add chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans to the oat mixture for extra crunch.
