Description

These no-bake Peanut Butter Bars combine a rich mixture of creamy peanut butter, melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, and powdered sugar, topped with a smooth layer of melted chocolate and peanut butter. Perfectly set in the refrigerator, they make a deliciously sweet, easy-to-make dessert or snack that doesn’t require an oven.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 3/4 cups powdered sugar

Topping

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the base mixture: In a large bowl, combine 1 cup of creamy peanut butter, the melted unsalted butter, graham cracker crumbs, and powdered sugar. Mix thoroughly until the mixture becomes smooth and well blended.
  2. Press into pan: Evenly press the peanut butter mixture into a greased 9×13-inch pan. Use a spatula to smooth the surface, ensuring an even layer.
  3. Melt chocolate topping: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips with 2 tablespoons of creamy peanut butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the mixture is completely melted and creamy.
  4. Spread topping: Pour the melted chocolate and peanut butter mixture over the pressed base layer. Spread it evenly with a spatula to create a smooth chocolate layer.
  5. Set and serve: Refrigerate the pan for at least 2 hours or until the chocolate topping is firm. Once set, cut into 24 squares and serve.

Notes

  • Ensure the butter is fully melted before mixing for a smooth texture.
  • Use a greased or parchment-lined pan to easily remove bars.
  • For a firmer bar, refrigerate overnight.
  • These bars can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week in an airtight container.
  • Optionally, substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with dark chocolate for a richer flavor.
