- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 1/2 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- Heat Skillet: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat to prepare for cooking the ground beef.
- Cook Beef: Add ground beef to the skillet and break it apart with a spoon, cooking until fully browned, about 6-8 minutes.
- Drain Grease: Remove any excess grease from the skillet and return the beef to the pan.
- Add Seasoning: Stir in olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper into the beef.
- Mix Seasonings: Ensure the seasoning is evenly distributed by mixing thoroughly with the beef.
- Flavor Melding: Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes so the flavors meld together beautifully.
- Remove Beef from Heat: Take the skillet off the heat and set the beef mixture aside.
- Warm Tortillas: In a separate skillet, warm each tortilla over medium heat for about 30 seconds per side until just golden.
- Prepare Tortillas for Filling: Lay the tortillas flat on a large serving platter or baking sheet, ready to be filled.
- Fill Tortillas: Spoon a generous amount of the seasoned beef onto each tortilla, spreading it evenly.
- Add Sauce: Spoon approximately 2 tablespoons of marinara sauce over the beef on each tortilla.
- Add Mozzarella: Sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons of shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce layer on each tortilla.
- Add Pepperoni: Evenly place sliced pepperoni on top of the cheese, distributing a few pieces per taco.
- Add Parmesan: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the pepperoni for added flavor.
- Add Vegetables and Spice: Sprinkle chopped bell pepper, black olives, and crushed red pepper flakes evenly over each taco.
- Bake: Arrange the filled tortillas on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 8-10 minutes until cheese melts and tortillas are crispy.
- Garnish: Remove tacos from oven and sprinkle with fresh chopped basil on top.
- Serve: Serve the pizza tacos immediately while hot and enjoy!
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.
- Feel free to customize toppings with mushrooms, onions, or your favorite pizza ingredients.
- For crispier tortillas, bake a bit longer but watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Use corn tortillas for a gluten-free alternative, but note the texture will differ.
- Leftover tacos can be stored in an airtight container and reheated in the oven for best results.
