Scale
Truffle Base
- 2 cups crushed sugar cookies (about 10-12 sugar cookies)
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
Coating and Decoration
- 1 bag (10 oz) vanilla flavored melting wafers
- Red & green sprinkles
Instructions
- Prepare Cookie Mixture: Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or tin foil. Crush sugar cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor. In a mixing bowl, combine the cookie crumbs and softened cream cheese, mixing until well combined and smooth.
- Form Truffles and Chill: Roll the mixture into 1 tablespoon-sized balls and place them evenly spaced on the prepared sheet. Freeze the formed truffles for 10 minutes to firm up before coating.
- Melt Coating and Dip: Melt the vanilla flavored melting wafers according to package instructions. Using a fork, dip each chilled truffle completely into the melted wafers, ensuring they are fully coated. Place the coated truffles back on the parchment-lined sheet. Drizzle additional melted wafers over the tops and sprinkle with red and green sprinkles for a festive finish.
- Set and Store: Freeze the coated truffles for 5 minutes to set the coating. Once set, transfer the truffles to the refrigerator and store until ready to serve and enjoy.
Notes
- Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing.
- Ensure sugar cookies are crushed finely for a smoother texture.
- Keep truffles refrigerated for best freshness and texture.
- Feel free to customize sprinkles or use colored melting wafers for different occasions.
