Description

These delightful Sugar Cookie Truffles combine crushed sugar cookies and cream cheese into bite-sized balls, coated in smooth vanilla melting wafers and decorated with festive sprinkles. Perfect for holiday gatherings or sweet treats anytime, these no-bake truffles offer a creamy, crunchy texture with a festive look.

Ingredients

Scale

Truffle Base

  • 2 cups crushed sugar cookies (about 10-12 sugar cookies)
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened

Coating and Decoration

  • 1 bag (10 oz) vanilla flavored melting wafers
  • Red & green sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cookie Mixture: Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or tin foil. Crush sugar cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor. In a mixing bowl, combine the cookie crumbs and softened cream cheese, mixing until well combined and smooth.
  2. Form Truffles and Chill: Roll the mixture into 1 tablespoon-sized balls and place them evenly spaced on the prepared sheet. Freeze the formed truffles for 10 minutes to firm up before coating.
  3. Melt Coating and Dip: Melt the vanilla flavored melting wafers according to package instructions. Using a fork, dip each chilled truffle completely into the melted wafers, ensuring they are fully coated. Place the coated truffles back on the parchment-lined sheet. Drizzle additional melted wafers over the tops and sprinkle with red and green sprinkles for a festive finish.
  4. Set and Store: Freeze the coated truffles for 5 minutes to set the coating. Once set, transfer the truffles to the refrigerator and store until ready to serve and enjoy.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for easier mixing.
  • Ensure sugar cookies are crushed finely for a smoother texture.
  • Keep truffles refrigerated for best freshness and texture.
  • Feel free to customize sprinkles or use colored melting wafers for different occasions.
