 - 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
 - 1 teaspoon salt
 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
 
Cheese Sauce:
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
 - 1/2 cup whole milk
 - 1 tablespoon butter
 - 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
 - 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
 - 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
 - 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 
Instructions
- Prepare the Fries: Soak cut fries in cold water for 30 minutes. Drain and pat dry. Toss with seasonings and bake or air fry until crispy.
 - Make the Cheese Sauce: Melt butter, stir in flour, add milk and spices. Stir in cheese until smooth.
