Description

A creamy and flavorful Thai Peanut Salad Dressing that combines peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, and a hint of spice, perfect for enhancing salads or as a dipping sauce. Ready in just 5 minutes and easy to customize with your preferred level of heat and sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale

Thai Peanut Salad Dressing

  • â…“ cup creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce or Tamari
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1-2 tablespoons honey or pure maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon ginger paste or finely minced fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon finely minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • ½-1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce (optional)
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

  1. Combine ingredients: Add peanut butter, soy sauce (or Tamari), rice vinegar, lime juice, honey (or maple syrup), ginger paste, garlic, sesame oil, and Sriracha sauce if using, into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk to blend: Whisk all ingredients together thoroughly until smooth and well combined, ensuring the peanut butter is fully incorporated.
  3. Add water for consistency: Gradually add the ¼ cup water while continuing to whisk, adjusting the amount as needed to achieve your desired dressing thickness.
  4. Use or store: Use the dressing immediately on your salad or as a dipping sauce. Alternatively, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Before serving, bring it to room temperature and stir well.

Notes

  • If you prefer a vegan version, use maple syrup instead of honey.
  • Adjust the amount of Sriracha to control the heat level.
  • For a gluten-free option, be sure to use Tamari instead of soy sauce.
  • This dressing can also be used as a sauce for noodles or grilled meats.
  • Store in the refrigerator to maintain freshness and stir before each use.
