Turkey Wings:

  • 4 large turkey wings (about 34 pounds)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

Other:

  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 small onion, sliced


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare the turkey wings: Rinse and pat the turkey wings dry. Toss in olive oil.
  3. Season the wings: Combine seasonings and rub over the wings.
  4. Arrange in baking dish: Place sliced onions in a baking dish, then add wings.
  5. Add broth: Combine broth and Worcestershire sauce, pour around wings.
  6. Bake: Cover and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes. Uncover, baste, and bake for additional 30–40 minutes.
  7. Rest and serve: Let wings rest before serving.

Notes

  • For extra crispy skin, broil the wings for the last 3–5 minutes.
  • This recipe also works well with a gravy made from the pan drippings.
